On the morning of March 30th, Professor Yang Chaoyong from Xiamen University visited Polyseq Biotechnology at the invitation of Dr. Huang Yihua, the chairman of the company, and delivered an academic report titled "Single Cell Spatiotemporal Sequencing". The report was chaired by Dr. Lou Jizhong, the chief scientist of the company.
Professor Yang Chaoyong's team has long been engaged in research on new methods of in vitro diagnostics, innovative instruments, the application of microfluidic technology in biomedical fields, single-cell analysis, and other areas, and has achieved a series of original results. Professor Yang highlighted in his report the pioneering work of his research group in single-cell omics sequencing based on digital microfluidics technology in recent years. The research covers the clever design of digital microfluidics, efficient single-cell capture, single-cell gene sequencing, single-cell multi omics sequencing, single-cell time-resolved sequencing, and single-cell spatially resolved sequencing. In the report, Professor Yang vividly shared with everyone the development of single-cell sequencing chips, innovation in sequencing methods, development of bioinformatics algorithms, and some of the latest developments in medical applications. After the report, the company's R&D team had in-depth discussions and exchanges with Professor Yang Chaoyong, and this report benefited colleagues greatly. Finally, Researcher Lou Jizhong summarized the exchange and expressed gratitude to Professor Yang for his visit. Recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Distinguished Professor at Xiamen University, Researcher and Vice Dean of the Molecular Medicine Research Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Spectral Analysis and Instruments of the Ministry of Education, Deputy Director of the Chemical Biology Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Vice President of the Fujian Chemical Society, and Deputy Editor in Chief of Analytical Chemistry at the American Chemical Society. We have been committed to bioanalytical chemistry for a long time and have achieved innovative results in nucleic acid chemistry biology, microfluidics, single-cell and single-molecule analysis, and other fields. Published over 270 papers in journals such as Chem Rev, Nature Commun., Sci. Adv., Acc. Chem. Res., PNAS, JACS., with over 14000 citations and an H-index of 63. More than 50 authorized invention patents have been obtained. He has successively won awards and honors such as the Outstanding Professor Award of the Sino US Association of Chemistry and Chemical Biology Professors, the Chinese Young Analytical Chemist Award, the Young Chemistry Award of the Chinese Chemical Society Royal Chemical Society, and the Lecture Award on the Progress of Measurement Science of the American Chemical Society.
